Terms & Conditions
Last updated on 9 August 2026
These terms apply to your use of mahelwaleandassociates.com and to any professional service you engage Mahelwale and Associates for. By browsing the website or sending us an enquiry, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
1. About us
Mahelwale and Associates is a professional business advisory firm with its office at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. We provide services in taxation, legal compliance, accounting, business registration and corporate consulting.
2. The website is information, not advice
Everything published on this website is general information about what we do. It is not professional, legal, tax or financial advice, and reading it does not create a client relationship between you and the firm. Please read our Disclaimer for the full position.
3. How an engagement starts
- You share what you need. We revert with a written scope, the documents required, an indicative timeline and our professional fee.
- Work begins only after you confirm the scope in writing and complete any advance payment agreed.
- Anything outside the agreed scope is quoted separately and started only after you approve it.
4. Fees and payment
- Our professional fees are quoted exclusive of government fees, statutory charges, stamp duty, portal charges and applicable GST, which are payable by you in addition.
- Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice. We may pause work on an engagement where fees remain unpaid beyond that period.
- Government and statutory fees paid on your behalf are non-refundable once submitted, irrespective of the outcome of the application.
5. What we need from you
- Complete, accurate and timely information and documents. We work on what you give us and do not independently audit it unless the engagement is specifically an audit.
- Prompt responses to our queries, especially where a statutory deadline or a departmental reply window is involved.
- Confirmation of the final position before filing, where we have asked you to review a draft.
We are not responsible for a delay, penalty, interest, rejection or loss caused by information that was incorrect, incomplete or provided late.
6. Timelines and outcomes
Timelines shared with you are estimates based on normal departmental processing. Approvals, registrations, refunds and assessments are decided by the concerned government authority. We cannot and do not guarantee a specific outcome, a specific processing time, or the availability of a government portal.
7. Confidentiality
Information you share with us in the course of an engagement is treated as confidential and is used only to carry out that engagement, except where disclosure is required by law or by a regulatory authority. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The content, layout, brand name and logo on this website belong to Mahelwale and Associates. You may read and share links to the pages, but you may not copy, republish or reuse the content or the brand elements for commercial purposes without our written permission.
9. Acceptable use
- Do not submit false, misleading or unlawful information through the website.
- Do not attempt to interfere with the website, probe it for vulnerabilities without written authorisation, or use automated tools to scrape or overload it.
- Do not use our contact channels to send unsolicited marketing.
10. Third party links and portals
The website may link to government portals or other third party websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or their handling of your data.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an engagement is limited to the professional fee actually paid to us for that specific engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profit, loss of business or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Ending an engagement
Either side may end an engagement by giving written notice. You remain liable for fees for work completed up to that date and for government fees already paid on your behalf. On request we will hand over the records and acknowledgements relating to your work.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these terms or an engagement with the firm.
